Privacy Policy

This explains what Meetloop collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, password (stored hashed) and an optional profile photo.
  • Groups: the groups you host or join, and what hosts write about them, including locations and meeting links.
  • Payments: which memberships you pay for, amounts and dates. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them.
  • Messages: what you send to a host through “Contact the Host”.
  • Technical data: standard server logs such as IP address and browser, kept by our hosting providers for security.

How we use it

  • To run your account and the groups you host or join.
  • To take payments and pay hosts.
  • To send emails you need, like sign-up confirmation, password resets and messages from members.
  • To keep Meetloop secure and fix problems.

We don’t sell your data and we don’t use it for advertising.

Who can see it

  • Anyone can see public group pages, including the host’s name and photo.
  • Hosts can see the name, email and payment status of their group’s members.
  • We share data with the services that run Meetloop: Supabase (database and login), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email) and Google Maps (location search when creating a group). Each handles it under its own privacy terms.
  • We may disclose data if the law requires it.

Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account we remove your profile and memberships, except payment records we must keep for tax and accounting.

Your choices

You can update your name and photo in Settings and cancel memberships any time. You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, by contacting us by replying to any email you’ve received from us.

Children

Meetloop isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy in a significant way, we’ll let you know before it takes effect.
